Andy is the Executive Creative Director and Chief Strategist of The Thinc Group, a Singapore-based creative consultancy he co-founded in 2003.

He holds responsibility for the management of the agency, as well as the strategising and creative direction of projects.

Andy thinks that all the subjects he learnt from his 14 years in mainstream education are not half as important as the one discipline he majored in university – Philosophy. As a creative professional, he believes, ironically, that creativity cannot flourish without logic, research and knowledge.

Apart from Thinc, Andy also co-founded Asia’s first-ever integrated digital agency with virtual world marketing expertise – Figment – which specialises in helping brands and organisations make the most of the digital world, social media platforms and virtual worlds.

Andy’s experience spans 21 years across three agencies. In this period, he led local, regional and global campaigns across diverse industries from Retail, F&B, Finance/Banking, Insurance, Telecoms, IT, Hospitality, Education amongst others. His versatility extends above- and below-the-line with fast strategic thinking, supported by concept-driven ideas.

Outside of work, Andy volunteers his time with SAFRA (Singapore Armed Forces Recreation Association), where he spearheaded youth engagement as Chairman of Youth Network, and is currently serving as Chairman of Safra Corporate Branding Committee and the Concept Committee for the upcoming 7th Safra Choa Chu Kang Club. He also sits on the SAFRA Management Committee, where he is called upon to share his advertising, marketing communications and branding expertise.

Andy graduated with honours in Philosophy and Merit in English Language from the National University of Singapore in 1998, and has been in the advertising and design industry ever since. He received the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in 2014 for his public service contributions to Singapore.

First entering the advertising and design industry 17 years ago as a design aficionado, she rose steadily through the ranks thanks to her consistently high standards of creative excellence – eventually becoming Creative Director at The Thinc Group. Her quality of work can be seen in the many successful local, regional and global campaigns she helped craft for clients in industries such as Education, F&B, Finance/Banking, Insurance, Telecoms, IT and Hospitality.
